LastRound

LastRound is a set of 7 reusable cotton pads — a washable, long-lasting alternative to single-use cotton rounds and makeup remover pads, designed in Copenhagen by LastObject. Launched on Kickstarter in 2020, the campaign was fully funded by thousands of backers. Each pad measures approximately 7 cm in diameter, the same as a standard disposable cotton round, and works as a direct replacement for the same skincare tasks.

The pads are made from a blend of 30% cotton and 70% lyocell (wood fibre), which gives them a soft, slightly textured surface similar to a traditional cotton pad, while being more durable and quicker to dry. They are machine washable at up to 60°C — the temperature at which common bacteria and viruses on fabric are eliminated. Each pad is rated for approximately 250 wash cycles. A mesh laundry bag is included to keep pads together in the wash. One set of 7 pads replaces approximately 1,750 single-use cotton rounds over its lifetime. The pads are free from synthetic dyes and chemical treatments and are home compostable at end of life.

LastRound works with all water-based skincare products: micellar water, toner, make-up remover, serums, and exfoliants. Do not use fabric softener, as it coats the fibres and reduces absorption. The packaging is FSC-certified cardboard.
